Ann is a pharmacist who has worked at Hammersmith Hospital (now part of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust) since 1987 and has been Chief Pharmacist since 1995. In 2000 Ann became the joint-chair of the Centre for Medicines Safety and Service Quality (formerly known as the Academic Pharmacy unit) - a joint venture between the Trust and The School of Pharmacy University of London. Ann is responsible for the pharmacy services at Charing Cross, Hammersmith and Queen Charlottes and Chelsea Hospitals.
SafeChemo gives a real opportunity to move cytotoxic compounding into the 21th century. Since hospital pharmacy began cytotoxic work in the 1980’s in the UK we have seen little development to help us deal with the increasing pressures arising from the successful development of new therapeutic approaches.
